Neck Pain
Neck pain is a common complaint, with two-thirds of the population having neck pain at some point in their lives. Pain in the neck can be caused by an injury to the neck region itself or to the other spinal areas. Neck pain can also be felt when there are muscle tightness, joint problems or pinched nerves in the neck and/or upper back.
The neck's role, among others, is to carry a 10-pound (or so) weight - your head. And unless you are lying down, your neck doesn't get much of a break. It is relatively easy to carry this weight when the head is perfectly aligned with the spine. But think about everthing you do during the day that puts strain on your neck: When reading a book, magazine, the computer screen, or your mobile phone, you tilt your head slightly forward, putting pressure on the neck. In most sports tilt your head forward, backward, sideways, and back. Bad posture causes an almost constant strain on your neck. So, no wonder then that neck pain is one of the most frequent complaints which, in turn, can also lead to headaches, shoulder pain, arm pain, and back pain.
P-DTR has shown to be a great ally in correcting neck dysfunction as it offers not only relief to chronic neck pain, but also realignment of head and spine. It helps unused muscles to fire up again, and overused, compensating muscles to relax.
